eggy1943 Fire Wood - smokeless

We have a wood cook stove which doubles to heat our home as additional heat to our LP Furnace. When using the cook stove, no LP use is necessary. I found that wood must be "seasoned" or it burns black smoke, and blocks the pipes and chimney. Seasoned = a smokless fire, kind to the air. We cut and split the wood, letting it air dry for two years before use. We bought truck load of logs from a local logger than cut and split it. We bought a electric splitter which works great!
